The Eucerin Redness Relief Line Review

Eucerin Redness Relief Soothing Night Cream

How to get rid of redness on the face

I use this every night – right after cleaning my face with ordinary soap. I figure that soap will do a good job cleaning my skin and this cream will do a good job repairing the damage the soap does.

Because the cream is so light, you only need to use a bit.

It’s a soft, silky (really) product. In combination with simple soap my skin is softer than it has ever been – and the redness relief formula decreases redness in my skin.

The price is very cheap for such a quality product.

How to use Eucerin Redness Relief

Just use this like any other foundation: put it on, wash it off when you put something else on.

The night creme I simply put on at night. It gets washed off in the morning.

The day stuff is more a foundation: just put it on & wash off when going to bed, like any other foundation.

Eucerin Redness Relief Daily Perfecting Lotion, SPF 15 – How to get rid of red cheeks

I used this daily when the redness was still dominant. I really wanted to have two products: one for day, one for night – and now I do.

This is the day cream. You don’t need to use a lot of this product: just a bit will do. The dispenser is so efficient that after 4 months, I’m still on my first bottle.

The price is low, especially for such a quality product that lasts so long.

This visibly neutralizes the redness on my face because of the green pigments. I know that sounds strange – why green on the face. But think about it: green plus red equals brown. It does make me look a slight bit more tanned. This product also contains ingredients to counter the flushing long term.

It includes a sunscreen factor 15, which is good because sun is one of the causes of Rosacea.

I find that even in the Dutch climate I do have to use this stuff in summer, because the night cream just isn’t strong enough to counter the effect of the sun on my skin.

So, this is the stuff I use, and it’s great for my sensitive skin. I’ve suffered from red cheeks all my life – with the redness only growing with age. To the point where now I don’t only have red cheeks, but also a red chin. This is the first product where I’ve actually seen the redness grow less. And it grew less within a week too! It’s amazing.

2 months into using this, my skin is at a level I would be comfortable with for the rest of my life. I do notice though that when I don’t use it, my skin gets redder again. I guess I’ll be using this for the rest of my life.

And you can’t beat that price. This stuff is cheap.

What about acne?

I’ve used a lot of products on my skin – most gave me more zits than not using anything at all did. Not the Eucerin line. Not only does it cover up the redness on my face, it ALSO helps reduce acne I have.

In other words: not just great to cure rosacea, but ALSO helps prevent acne.

The alternative? Laser Surgery!

I went to the doctor with my problem in the early nineties. I was in my late teens and thoroughly fed up with the redness on my skin. She gave me a cream – which didn’t seem to give lasting improvement. Then she sent me on to a dermatologist who could do laser surgery.

As they explained: laser surgery means making small wounds on your face. When those wounds heal the scar tissue doesn’t have the small veins near the top of the skin: so your face no longer looks as red.

Well – That scared the heck out of me. I wasn’t vain enough as a kid to have my front two teeth glued together (though I regret that now). As a teen I wasn’t any different: having my skin hurt on purpose merely to look a bit better? And that scar tissue, wouldn’t that look bad?

So I didn’t get my face lasered. End of story. Except of course that six months ago I found a night cream and a day product that worked 🙂 The redness on my face is still decreasing – and I started with a lot of it. People on Amazon report redness being gone as quickly as within a week sometimes… Isn’t that A LOT better than laser surgery?

Reader responses

WOW! Thank you for posting this find! I have been suffering from red cheeks for my whole life. After reading your story and results, I went to Wal-Greens Pharmacy and bought the Eucerin daily lotion and the Eucerin soothing cleanser. I just got home and washed my face with the cleanser and applied the lotion, and the redness is already lighter, and my face feels fresh and relieved! The lotion is light and blends great into my skin. I cannot wait to see the results after 1 week 🙂 thanks you very much for this helpful and affordable solution!

You have NO IDEA how important this lens was for me. I’ve just been diagnosed with Rosacea and have been at wits end knowing where to start treatment. I didn’t want to do the 3 month stint of antibiotics (who knows what other health problems would come from that course of events?) but have been tearing my hair out wondering where to turn for help. I will be definitely be trying the Eucerin. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

> My response to that:

When I had other unrelated skin problems, while in the US, I was also put on a antibiotics cure. It cleared up my skin, but it did not help with the redness. Anyhow, since the cause is partly genetic, nothing is going to cure this forever. So a light solution is much better than messing up my immune system.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and recommendations for Eucerin products. I bought all 3 products and they are definitely helping my skin after only 1 week. I never had acne or real face redness as a teenager or young adult, but as I have grown more mature ( ;-D ) I noticed I was getting the red cheeks plus pimples on my face – and I am over 50 years old. It was very upsetting and frustrating, but I am following your tips and using the Eucerin products and my skin is returning to its very fair color plus it is softer and smoother.

I tried all kinds of stuff, it never really worked. Eucerin was a one time thing for me. Within two weeks my red cheeks had a normal color and within a month I had stopped using it. I have some in my dressing table for when the redness returns, but haven’t had to use it again yet.
